As we know MPS DAY is approaching, and is a very important date for the entire MPS and related diseases community.
We work to raise awareness about the condition and the needs that people with Mucoplysaccharidosis and their families, and increase the knowledge of the healthcare community about the disease, and to make the diagnostic early as possible, and the right care as soon as possible too.
But this year all the events and celebrations will from home to keep everyone safe In these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, our thoughts are with you all. In February we were contacted by some companies to decide a global campaign for this year. We would like to share it with you all the campaign and the massage the companies share it with us:
“In these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, our thoughts are with you, the patients, and their families! It is times like these that remind us how important it is to work together to create solutions for our patients, as they are the center of everything that we do.
As a collective of MPS pharmaceutical industry partners, we recognize the often long and difficult journey from onset of symptoms, to diagnosis, and to treatment. Our patients have complex stories, but are all heroes that navigate the maze to reach a proper diagnosis. These stories demonstrate that each of us has a unique role to play, and it is only together that we will make a difference in rare diseases – especially MPS.
When we last spoke in February, we took into account your preference for the development of the “Chase the Signs” campaign to raise awareness for MPS. Even in light of current events, we continued to work on the unified campaign to make a large impact during this year’s celebration, and the years to come. We, Allievex, BioMarin, Sanofi Genzyme, Takeda and Ultragenix, would like to present you the almost final version of the #ChaseTheSigns campaign and a toolkit of possibilities on how to use its elements”
